The biggest step in creating a value-based learning system comes with first equipping the students with an environment that motivates them, challenges them to think out-of-the-box, and makes them seek unique ideas.
And to create such an enhanced and unparalleled learning ground for our students, the University offers the services of renowned academicians who are not only experts in their individual fields but also able supervisors to these fresh young talents.
The class structure and breakup are coordinated in such a manner as to keep a healthy student-teacher ratio as well as ensure personal and individual attention to each student.
The University is committed to encouraging and developing the enquiring minds of tomorrow.
While classes are a concoction of Whiteboard, Class Discussion, Lecture Method, Group Discussion, Practical Work, Simulation tools, Presentation Method, Laboratory, and Library time, a typical day also has club activities as mandatory co-curricular participation.
We believe in the proverb “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. So the University provides a robust exposure to a wide variety of sports, co-curricular, and club activities in sync with the daily academic assignments.
Along with this the university faculty or departments methodically organizes regular guest lectures, seminars, workshops, and practical works/field-trips.
In addition to this emphasis is also given to independent and self-directed study, for which a separate reading room is made available to all the students in the main academic building of Shruti.
Each academic year in the University consists of two semesters. Due to the 6 month terms, the academic curricula move at an aggressive pace and order.
During each semester, a student is expected to spend an average of 44 hours a week on their academic curricula (including learning/participation and self-study).
Typically, during the summer break, students are encouraged to opt for internship opportunities and summer training and be more job-ready after the completion of their course.
The University uses a thorough coalescence of international and oriental teaching pedagogies to ensure all-round excellence. Every program is developed with its own learning experiences which are shaped by the pedagogy baskets devised by the competent faculty.
The Credit is given on a total of 7- Grades from O-F.In each semester, the credit score is divided into two internal assessments, one external/final semester assessment and Research/Project Work with Viva.
Accordingly, the credit is accredited on the basis of the students’ performance throughout the term. In most of the courses, the Internal Assessment is marked out of 40 while the External assessment is marked out of 60.
The students are given a chance to select from the prescribed courses, as the core, elective, or soft skill subjects.
Each lecture session can range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes, depending upon the varied courses offered by the institution. Usually, in a class of 45 minutes, the lectures are divided into the format of:

‘Labs’ and ‘laboratory classes are regular routine work in some courses, which are assessed to understand a student’s capability to engage deeply with the object of learning thereby extending the overall learning process.
